Hungarian Tart, often known as reszelt linzer or a grated jam tart, is a wonderfully nostalgic Hungarian pastry made from a buttery shortcrust dough and fruity jam. What makes it distinctive is the grated layer of dough scattered over the jam before baking, creating a beautiful golden, slightly crumbly topping.
It is simple, rustic, and perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.
